EDWARD "ED" B. POLSTON, 70, of Tatum, TX died Oct. 29,
2003 in Longview, TX. Mr. Polston, a U.S. Marines veteran
during the Korean conflict, was in the Ranger High School
Class of 1951 at Ranger, TX. Interment was at Tatum
Cemetery.
Born Edward Bruce Polston on March 16, 1933, in Mineral
Wells, he was the son of Eunice L. Johnson and Frank B.
Polston. Formerly of Tyler, Mr. Polston had lived in
Tatum for the past 12 years. He was a member of the Pine
Tree Masonic Lodge #1396, Scottish Rite in Waco, Sharron
Temple in Tyler and past president of the Fire Brigade.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-
Day Saints. He & Helen were married in April of 1992.
Survivors include his wife: Helen Ingram Polston of Tatum;
son, Michael Polston of Quitman; stepsons, Clem Simpson
and wife Judy of Gladewater and Ricky Beets of New Diana;
stepdaughters, Sally Valcourt and husband Andy of Tatum,
and Sandra Kraft and husband Mike of Green Bay, Wisconsin;
brother, Roger Polston (RHS-1964) of Brownsville; grandson,
Wade Polston; several nieces and nephews. His parents and
brother, Charles Polston (RHS-1956), preceded him in death.
