LULA MAE "LOU" LESTER EGGLETON HUGHES, 88,
died on April 21, 2022, with burial at Bullock
Cemetery in Ranger, TX.
Lou was born on Oct. 22, 1933, in Roby, TX to
Marjorie & John Henry Lester. She attended
Ranger High School in the Class of 1951. She
married Donald J. Eggleton and they had one
son Danny Joe Eggleton. They moved to Big
Spring in 1960 from Midland. She was a member
of Trinity Baptist Church for many years. Lou
was employed at State National Bank since 1962.
She later married Ernest Hughes in 1981.
Lou is survived by one son: Danny Eggleton and
wife, Paula, of Hobbs NM; four grandchildren;
three step-grandchildren; six great-grand-
children; three step-great-grandchildren; two
step-great-great-grandchildren; one sister:
Jane Lester Watson (RHS-1957) of Breckenridge,
TX; two stepdaughters; one stepson; & numerous
nieces and nephews, great-nieces & great-nephews.
