ALICE RUTH COLE HARPER, 82, of Clyde, TX, passed
away March 23, 2016, in Abilene, TX, with burial
in the Clyde Cemetery..
Mrs. Harper was born July 15, 1933 in Lubbock, TX
to Ben & Allene (Wyatt) Cole. She attended School
in Abilene before the family moved to Ranger, TX
where she graduated from Ranger High School in 1952.
She was the widow of Fred R. Harper (RHS-1953) whom
she married in May of 1952 at Eastland. They came
to Clyde from Dublin in 1988. Mrs. Harper worked
in the food service for local hospitals and public
schools. She was a member of the Clyde First United
Methodist Church.
Mrs. Harper is survived by two daughters, Janice A.
Janosik and husband John of Abilene, and Linda Harper
of Clyde; one brother, John Cole of Aransas Pass;
one sister, Lanelle Hutchins of New Braunfels; and
one granddaughter, Nikki Ruthann Harper of Snyder.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband,
and a son, James R. Harper.
