INA JEAN MEWBORN NORTON, 80, of Amarillo,
TX died Nov. 29, 2016, with burial in Memory Gardens
Cemetery.
Jean was born Oct. 20, 1936, in Gorman, TX to Claude
& Ruby Mewborn. She attended Ranger High School in
the Class of 1955 at Ranger, TX. She worked for U.S.
Army and Air Force Exchange Service for 37 years and
at G's Jewelry for several years.
She was a member of American Business Women's Association,
Amarillo Porcelain Art Club, New Neighbors of Amarillo
and Coulter Road Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert "Bob"
E. Norton.
Survivors include a daughter, Gina Lawler and husband
Brett of Amarillo; a granddaughter, Macy Lawler of
Amarillo; three sisters, Sue Rice of Amarillo, Cynthia
Bicknell of Abilene and Mary Beth Heller of Littleton,
CO; three brothers, Ed Mewborn and wife Ruth Ann of
Steamboat Springs, CO, Fredd Mewborn and wife Betty
of Corpus Christi and Dewayne Mewborn of Garland; and
several nieces & nephews.
