Ranger Exes Memorial - RHS Class of 1955

Linda Needham LINDA LOU NEEDHAM GIBBS, 80 of Gorman, TX passed away on July 21, 2018, with burial in the Oaklawn Cemetery. She was born on Oct. 13, 1937 in Ranger, TX to her parents, Weldon Todd Needham & Clara Nelle (Wells) Needham. She attended Ranger High School in the Class of 1955 and married Allan Gibbs in July of 1955 at Newcastle, TX. She had a masters degree in Education and taught school in Gorman for many years. She helped with Vacation Bible School and the kitchen for many years. Linda was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Weldon Needham (RHS-1958). She is survived by her husband, Allan Gibbs of Gorman; three sons; Bruce and Kim Gibbs of Tolar, Blain and Tammy Gibbs of Kyle and David and Shelia Gibbs of Gorman, two daughters; Bethany and Greg Skiles of Hobbs, NM and Jodi and Jackie Middleton of Comanche; three brothers, Jimmy Needham (RHS-1960) of Aztec, NM, Charlie Archer of Missouri and Kenneth Archer of Dallas; one sister, Charlotte Robinson of Houston; ten grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. HUSBAND: ALLAN BLAINE GIBBS, 85, of Gorman, TX passed away on Jan. 5, 2020, at his home in Gorman. Allan was born on Nov. 23, 1934 in Olney, TX to Henry Coleman Gibbs & Ethel Belle (Trammell) Gibbs. He graduated college with a Master’s Degree and went on to be a teacher and a coach for 42 years. Allan married Linda Lou Needham in Newcastle, TX in July of 1955. They were married for 64 years before she passed away July 21, 2018. Alan and Linda had five children together. He was a member of the First Baptist Church & served as a deacon for 45 years. Allan loved spending time with family and going to watch football games at the Gorman ISD. Allan is survived by three sons: Bruce Gibbs and his wife Kim of Tolar; Blaine Gibbs and his wife Tammy of Kyle; and David Gibbs and his wife Sheila of Gorman. Two daughters: Bethany Skiles and husband Greg of Hobbs, New Mecixo; and Jodi Middleton and husband Jackie of Comanche. Two brothers: Floyd Gibbs of Newcastle; and Jerry Gibbs of Burleson. One sister, Lou Farmer of Newcastle. Also, nine grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Linda Gibbs and one brother Johnny Gibbs.
