ROSE MARIE SAWYER DAVIS, 73, passed away Sept. 17,
2011 in New Braunfels, TX, due to complications from
pneumonia.
Rosie was born to R.C. "Buzz" & Floy Sawyer on Jan. 28,
1938, in Ranger, TX. She attended school in Ranger
before moving to Robert Lee where she graduated from
high school in 1956. While in Robert Lee, she met and
married Garland Davis. They were married in December
of 1956 in Robert Lee. Rosie & Garland raised three boys
and lived in Robert Lee, Medina, Austin, Ozona, Dripping
Springs, Lovington, N.M. and New Braunfels. Mrs. Davis
was preceded in death by her parents; sister Kenney Sims;
and infant granddaughter Heather Michelle Davis.
She is survived by her husband, Garland of New Braunfels;
sons Glenn and Colleen Davis of Lake McQueeney, Gary and
wife Carmela Davis of Denver City and Copie and wife
Alicia Davis of Round Rock; seven grandchildren, Courtney
Davis of Lubbock, Curtis and Cami Davis of Lake McQueeney,
Marlow, Sawyer and Emery Davis of Denver City, Olivia
Davis of Round Rock; brother Tom Sawyer (RHS-1958) & wife
Gay Sawyer of Robert Lee; brothers-in-law Butch & wife
Carolyn Davis of San Angelo and Waymond and wife Jean
Davis of Dime Box; sister-in-law Peggy Davis of Robert
Lee; and a number of nieces and nephews.
