Ranger Exes Memorial - RHS Class of 1957

Janie Vinson JANIE LEE VINSON WATTERS, 80, went home to be with her Lord & Savior and be reunited with her loving husband on Feb. 12, 2019, with burial in the Colony Cemetery near Ranger, TX. Janie Lee Vinson was born Oct. 8, 1938 in Ranger, TX to Perry Taylor Vinson & Fannie Bell Casey Vinson. She grew up in Ranger and was a graduate of Ranger High School in 1957. She married Mr. Travis Watters in Dec. of 1959 and was by his side until his death in 2004. She worked for many years for Dillard's as a collections agent. She was a Baptist and loved the Lord. She is survived by one son, Jackie Lynn Watters and 2 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Janie is preceded in death by her parents, 4 siblings and her beloved husband, Travis. Janie loved life and was rarely seen without a smile and loving word for everyone she met. She will be missed. SISTER: EVELYN Y. VINSON PIDGEON, 80, of Weatherford, TX died Jan. 11, 2008, with burial in Willow Springs Cemetery. Evelyn was born May 26, 1927, in Ranger, TX and was a resident of Ranger and Weatherford all her life. She was a homemaker and cosmetician for Skillern's Drug for 14 years and retired in 1977. Mrs. Pidgeon was preceded in death by her husband, Thurman Albert Pidgeon. Survivors: son Wayne Pidgeon and wife, Vickie of Granbury; grandchildren, Patrick Pidgeon, Jennifer Pidgeon and Shane Stephenson; great-grandchildren, Hayden Wayne Pidgeon, Delaney Harris & Riley Harris; sisters, Frankie Vinson (RHS-1962), Dorothy & Janie Vinson Watters (RHS-1957); brother, Kenneth; friend, Jay Leatherwood; numerous nieces and nephews. SISTER: DOROTHY MAE VINSON ROGERS, 83, of Ranger, TX passed away on Jan. 21, 2015, with burial in Cross Roads Cemetery near Ranger. She was born on Oct. 23, 1931 in Ranger to Perry & Fannie Casey Vinson. She may have attended Ranger High School but no records were found. Dorothy married Thomas Rogers in July of 1950 at Leroy, TX. Her siblings were Evelyn Vinson, Perry Vinson (RHS-1961), Janie Vinson Watters (RHS-1957), and Frankie Vinson (RHS-1962).
