Ranger Exes Memorial - RHS Class of 1957

Linda McKinney Quist LINDA KAY MCKINNEY SWANN QUIST, 83, passed away peacefully amongst her family on April 14, 2023, with burial at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. Linda was born Oct. 23, 1939 in Ranger, TX. She was a warm and loving spirit with a great sense of humor and a bright welcoming smile. Linda was beloved by family and friends who will miss her kindness, feisty nature, and many stories of her life in New Mexico and Texas. Linda lived life to the fullest. She attended Ranger schools but graduated from Highland High School in 1957, and later earned her associates in 1991 from TVI. Linda got her pilot's license as a young woman and was a lifelong member of the Ninety-Nines. She was also a lifelong member of Job's Daughters and was a former member of the Grand Guardian Council for NM. She loved the Balloon Fiesta, and in its earliest years, participated as a volunteer at many events. From a young age she loved animals, arts and crafts, ice skating, traveling, and spending time with those she loved. She is preceded in death by her mother, Valetta Wood (RHS-1934); her father, John McKinney (RHS- 1933); her stepfather, Edwin Wood; her husband, Terry Quist; her ex-husband, Charles Swann and by her son, David Swann. Linda is survived by her children, Cynthia Davis and husband Jeff, Susan Swann and wife Danita; her stepchildren, Candice Quist & husband John Reinhold, Erica Berman and husband Bradley, Deb Lynn Quist Aldana, and Patrick Quist and wife Lawanna; her grandchildren, Brittany, Zachary, Jacqueline and Madison Davis, & Samantha Reinhold.
