SONJA DELORES STAGNER VARNER, 39, died
in June of 1980.
She was born in Ranger, TX on Jan. 25, 1941,
to Zetta Fae Morris & Carlton Day Stagner. She
graduated from Ranger High School in 1958. Sonja
was married to James Varner, a graduate of RHS
Class of 1950. She was the mother of three sons,
one of whom died in 1974 (Skipper). At the time
of her illness, she was employed at the Tarrant
County Courthouse in Ft. Worth.
She has two surviving sons, John and Jason. Sonja
and Skipper are buried at Evergreen Cemetery in
Ranger. Her sister is Dorothy Stagner Goforth
(RHS-1956) of Waco, TX. Carlton "Butch" Stagner
(RHS-1962) of Mineral Wells, TX, is her brother.
