RAFAILITA LYDIA MENDOZA WYLIE, 74, of Abilene, TX.
passed away Sept. 24, 2014 with burial at the
Evergreen Cemetery in Ranger, TX.
Mrs. Wylie was born February 17, 1940 in Ranger
to Paschal & Trinidad (Camacho) Mendoza. She
graduated from Ranger High School in 1959 and
Texas Woman’s University in 1963. She married
Carroll H. Wylie in April of 1962 in Dallas, TX.
She was President-CEO of Child Nutrition Inc. in
Abilene, TX, retiring in 2009, after twenty years.
She was a caring mother, devoted and dedicated
wife, & a friend to many people. She was forever
an advocate for children.
Survivors at the time of her death include her
husband, Carroll H. Wylie of Abilene; son, Arthur
W. Wylie of Abilene; granddaughter, Alicia Lynn
Wylie of New Orleans, LA; sister, Wilma Mendoza
Rodriquez (RHS-1962) of Ft. Worth; brothers,
Robert Reynosa of Chula Vista, CA, Paul Mendoza
(RHS-1958) of Ft. Worth, Arthur Mendoza (RHS-1964)
of Garland, Rudy Mendoza (RHS-1968) of Ranger.
She is preceded in death by her parents, a brother
Chico Mendoza (RHS-1954), & a sister Julia Mendoza
Rodriguez (RHS-1963).
