Ranger Exes Memorial - RHS Class of 1960

Johnny Stewart JOHNNY WAYNE "PEEWEE" STEWART, 59, of Ranger, TX died on Oct. 25, 2000 with interment at Colony Cemetery. He was born in Eastland, TX on Dec. 12, 1940, to Johnny W. & Maybelle (Ruth) Stewart, he attended school in Olden and Ranger. He was in the Ranger High School Class of 1960 but moved to another school before graduation. Mr. Stewart worked as a horse trader all of his life. Survivors at the time of his death include three sons, J.W. and Jason Stewart, both of Ranger and Joe Stewart of Clyde; a brother, Jimmy Stewart of Ranger; a sister, Jackie Whitson of Ranger; three grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great- nephews. SISTER: JACKIE BRANCH WHITSON, 66, lifelong of Ranger resident died May 19, 2014, at the home of her son Tony Castillo in Claremore, OK. Ms. Whitson was born Dec. 19, 1947 in Ranger, TX, to Hugh Kenneth Branch & Mattie Bell Ruth. Jackie worked at the Ranger and Eastland sale barn before working at Wal-Mart in Eastland, TX where she was for over 10 years. She was a dedicated contributor to “The Children’s Miracle Network” Jackie enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, and garage sales. She was proud that both of her sons served in the military. Tim with the Marine Corp. and Tony with the U.S. Army. She is survived by a “brother” Jim Stewart of Ranger, TX.; a son, Tim Castillo of Beaumont, TX., a son, Tony Castillo & daughter-in-law Jennifer of Claremore, OK; grandchildren, Brandon, Erin of TX., Tristan, Bryce, and Chance of Oklahoma; and many friends and extended family.
