KAREN ELAINE KILLINGSWORTH McBRIDE, 80,
passed away on Aug. 29, 2023 in Fort Worth, TX,
with burial in Evergreen Cemetery at Ranger, TX.
She was born on Sept. 9, 1942 in Ranger, TX to Floyd
(RHS-1926) & Edith Hearn Killingsworth. Her father
operated the Killingsworth Hardware & Furniture Store,
later the Killingsworth Funeral Home in Ranger. She
attended Hodges Oak Park School and graduated from
Ranger High School in the Class of 1960. She received
a degree from Texas Christian University. Karen taught
school in the Fort Worth area and later worked as a
substitute teacher for the HEB school system for many
years. Her married name was McBride. She lived in
Bedford & North Richland Hills.
Karen was preceded in death by her parents. She is
survived by: son, James McBride; daughter, Melanie
O'Donnell (Tim); grandchildren, Deklin O'Donnel &
Finley O'Donnell; and many friends.
