JAMES E. WOODRUFF, 67, of Dallas, TX & formerly
of Ranger, TX died on Sept. 6, 2008, with burial with
military honors at Evergreen Cemetery in Ranger, TX.
James was born on July 14, 1941 in Cameron, TX, to
Luther & Francis Rose Woodruff. He attended Ranger
High School, and entered the U.S. Army serving in
Vietnam for 3 years & then with the U.S. Marine Corps
for 7 years. After 10 years in the military he moved
to Dallas were he worked for Premier Foundations Corp
and later for the Veterans Administration. James was
a member of the Calvary Way Church in Dallas.
James is survived by a son, Jamie Burnett of Dallas;
his mother Francis Woodruff of Ranger; a brother Luther
Woodruff Jr. (RHS-1960) of Ratcliff, KY; two sisters
Arma Jean Woodruff (RHS-1964) of Dallas and Frances
Woodruff Simien (RHS-1959) of Sunisun City, CA; four
grandchildren and four nieces and nephew; Michelle,
Marlin, Michael Woodruff, Shawn Woodruff, and Yolanda
Simien, and four great-nieces and nephews.
