Ranger Exes Memorial - RHS Class of 1962

David Rogers DAVID L. ROGERS, 70, passed away Oct. 7, 2014 at Corpus Christi after a long battle with Parkinson’s and Lewy Body Dementia, with interment at Alameda Cemetery near Ranger, TX. David was born Dec. 8, 1943 in Gorman, TX to J.D. Rogers & Lila Naomi Weeks Rogers. He grew up in the Chaney community & graduated from Ranger High School in the Class of 1962. He was a Sergeant in the 131st Arty. of the Army National Guard of Texas from 1964 to 1970. He also served as mayor of Ranger from 1987 to 1989. David spent most of his life in Ranger where he owned and operated Ranger Auto Parts. He married Donna Carol Shackelford in July of 1997 in Ranger. David was a member of the Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his parents & one brother, Dwight Rogers (RHS-1964). At the time of his death, he was survived by his wife, Donna Rogers of Port Aransas; daughter, Tammy Brinkley (RHS-1988) of Eastland; son, Brian Rogers (RHS-1980) and wife, Emily of Dublin; a brother, Doug Rogers (RHS-1960) and his wife, Sharon Brown Rogers (RHS-1965) of Brownwood; a stepson, Kenny Seymour of Granbury; a stepdaughter, Lisa Seymour of Tolar; three granddaughters, Shelby Auippa of Lubbock, Kori Brinkley of Eastland and Hannah House of Dublin; one grandson, Brayden David Rogers of Cisco and one great-grandson, Layton Salamy of Lubbock.
