ROYCE MERLE DUNSON, 63, died Jan. 4, 2009 in Early,
TX, with burial at Elmwood Cemetery.
Dunson was born July 2, 1945 in Ranger, TX to Jody &
Minnie Dunson. He was retired and enjoyed traveling
in his RV.
He was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Robin
Barnes.
At the time of his death, he was survived by his wife,
Darlene Dunson, Early; son, Dathan Dunson, Salado; parents,
Jody and Minnie Dunson, Early; brothers, William Dunson
(RHS-1965), North Richland Hills, Andy Dunson, Stanton,
and sisters, Charlotte Barnes (RHS-1967), Stanton, Lois
Jo Reeves (RHS-1968), Eastland, Cyndi Croxton (RHS-1970),
Decatur, and Mary Laughlin (RHS-1971), Arlington; one
grandson, and several nieces and nephews.
FATHER: WILLIAM "JODY" DUNSON, 92, of Eastland, TX,
passed away March 22, 2016, with burial in Evergreen
Cemetery at Ranger, TX.
Jody was born April 1, 1923 to Henry W. & Daisy (Hale)
Dunson in Ranger, TX. He married Minnie Lois Huckaby in
June of 1944 at Ranger. He served in the Navy in WWII.
He was a preacher and also worked for the State of Texas.
He is survived by 2 sons; William Dunson of Olden & Andy
& Debbie Dunson of Abilene; 4 daughters; Charlotte Barnes
of Stanton, Jo and Jerry Reeves of Eastland, Cyndi and
Dwight Croxton of Decatur, and Mary Laughlin of Arlington;
12 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; and 5 great-
great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents,
wife, Minnie Dunson, & son, Royce Dunson (RHS-1964).
MOTHER: MINNIE LOIS HUCKABY DUNSON, 84, of Early, died
away on July 30, 2012 in a Brownwood hospital, with
burial in Evergreen Cemetery at Ranger, TX.
She was born on July 16, 1927 in Caddo, TX, to H.C. &
Rhodie Kesterson Huckaby. She married Jody Dunson in
June of 1944 in Ranger, TX. She was a member of the
United Pentecostal Church. She loved to embroidery.
She was preceded in death by a son: Royce Dunson; 4
brothers, and a sister.

and Eunice Dunson of Fort Worth & Andy and Debbie Dunson
of Stanton; daughters and sons-in-law: Charlotte Barnes

of Arlington; and sister: Mable Carter.
