DORIS ESTELLA JACOBS GRUMBLES, 63, of Arlington,
TX went home to be with her Lord on May 3, 2011. She
attended Ranger High School in the Class of 1965 at
Ranger, TX. Her married name was Grumbles.
Doris was born Nov. 20, 1947 in Hillsboro, TX. She
was the youngest child of W.T. and Mary Eleanor
Green Jacobs. Doris and her husband, Gene lived in
Ranger for over 40 years. Doris was a devoted nurse,
mother, grandmother, & great-grandmother. She worked
until recently at Valley View Nursing Home in Eastland.
Doris was preceded in death by her mother, father,
husband, sister Louise (attended Hodges Oak school),
and beloved Uncle Allen.
Survivors are a daughter Gina Marie Grumbles Melton
(RHS-1983), sons Billy Allen Grumbles (RHS-1987), &
Andrew Lynn Grumbles (RHS-1990); sister Esther Lee
Jacobs Pierce; son-in-law Kurt Melton; daughters-in-
law Amy and Shawna Grumbles; seven grandchildren,
one great-grandchild, and many cousins, nieces and
nephews.
