RITA SUZANN ROURKE BROWN TALBOTT, 49, lost her
battle with breast cancer on June 12, 1999 at her
home in Irving, TX.
Suzann was born April 28,1950 in Schenectady New
York to Ellie Norene Cooper Rourke (RHS-1947) and
Joseph Frances Rourke. After the death of her father
the family moved to Ranger, TX where she grew up. She
attended Ranger High School and was very active with
band, twirling and several clubs and organizations.
Suzann made All District Band many times and one year
accomplished first chair in the competition. She
attended Ranger Junior College earning a business
degree. She married her high school sweetheart, Terry
A. Brown (RHS-1968) and together had one son, Jeffrey
Scott Brown.
In 1976, she married David Alan Talbott and they also
had a son Timothy David Talbott. Suzann worked for
Toyota of Irving for 37 years and enjoyed every minute
of it. She was active in many activities and her real
pleasures in life were her two sons. Suzann was preceded
in death by her parents Norene and Joseph Rourke.
At the time of her death she was survived by sons Jeffrey
Scott Brown and Timothy David Talbott, sister Cathy Rourke
Robinson (RHS-1969) and brother-in-law Dusty Robinson,
and two nephews, Brian David Humphrey & Joey Robinson,
all of Irving.
SON: JEFFREY SCOTT BROWN died in 2002 from ALS. He was
survived by a son Zachary Scott Brown. A precious grand
baby Suzann would have loved so much.
