BRENDA JEAN "BJ" STEPHENS SHELTON, 71,
of Marble Falls, TX, passed away on May 7, 2023,
surrounded by family and loved ones.
BJ was born on Dec. 13th, 1951 to Doug & Jean
Stephens in Carlsbad, NM. After graduating from
Ranger High School in 1970 at Ranger, TX, she
worked in the photography industry for many years.
BJ was passionate about photography and loved what
she did for a living. She brought long lasting joy
and memories to many people over the years through
the portraits taken by BJ.
BJ was predeceased by her father and mother: Doug
& Jean Stephens; and her brother: Bill Stephens.
She is survived by her loving and dedicated husband:
David Shelton; her 3 children: Kristi Rhodes & her
husband Joe, Ginger Cox, John Graham and his wife
Melissa; brothers: Lonnie Stephens & Jackie Stephens
(RHS-1973) & her sister, Marie Stephens Weller (RHS-
1974); seven grandchildren: Mason Gassett, Dustin
Gassett, Spencer Gassett, Colton Cox, Chance Cox,
Seth Love, and Sydney Graham; great-grandchildren:
Braylynn Gassett, Allee Moreno, Ava Moreno, Diana
Garcia, & Leo Garcia; and sister-in-laws: Doris
Stephens & Rosetta Rose Stephens (RHS-1973); as
well as many nieces and nephews.
BJ was a kind, caring, giving mother, and also a
devoted wife to David. She always put the needs of
her family before her own. BJ was a strong woman who
faced every challenge in her life with courage and
dignity. BJ, you will always be in our hearts, and
we will never forget you. We love you so much.
