Ranger Exes Memorial - RHS Class of 1974

Lucille Gomez Pewett LUCILLE GOMEZ PEWETT, 64, of Altus, OK passed away Jan. 24, 2020, with burial in the Altus City Cemetery. She was born in Mineral Wells, TX on Sept. 28, 1955 the fifth of eight children to her parents Manuel Gomez & Pauline (Mendez) Gomez. Lucille was raised in Ranger and attended Ranger High School in the Class of 1974 until the family moved to Mangum, OK. Later she moved back to southwest Oklahoma and had resided in Altus for many years. In April of 2004, Lucille married James E. Pewett in Mangum. She worked in home health for many years and she was the desert lady at the Western Sizzlin in Altus. Lucille enjoyed going to the casinos and she really enjoyed going to bingo in the Altus area. Most of all, Lucille loved her family & she treasured spending time with her grandson and she will be missed very much. Preceded in death by her parents; her husband James in 2006; two brothers, Joe Gomez; and Manuel Gomez, Jr. (RHS-1967); three sisters, Alla Ray Harper; Joyce Stowe; and Lupe Gomez Green (RHS-1978); Lucille is survived by her two sons, Virgil W. Wells of Altus; and Jason Eugene Pewett of Edmond; two sisters, Anita Wells of Eastland, TX; and Lisa Wells of Cross Plains, TX; her grandson, Dario Lee Pewett of Edmond; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, other family members, and many friends.
