JAMES H. "JIMMY" VEAL, 57, formerly of Ranger,
TX passed away Oct. 26, 2018 in Kingwood, TX, with
burial in the Alameda Cemetery near Ranger, TX.
James Howard Veal was born Oct. 31, 1960 in Ranger,
TX to Howard W. "Jack" & Launette Shook (RHS-1947)
Veal. He was a graduate of Ranger High School in
the Class of 1979 and Tarleton State University
where he earned a BA in English & Business. While
still in Eastland County he served as Justice on
the Peace from 1984-1986.
His great loves in life were the Dallas Cowboys and
St. Louis Cardinals, along with golf. Because of his
love of golf Jimmy worked as a golf course supervisor
for several golf courses with the last being the
Inwood Forest Golf Club in Houston, TX and received
a Master's in Turf Grass Management.
Jimmy's other loves includes his family; wife, Ilo
Dowell Veal whom he married in Aug. of 1992 at Humble,
TX; sons, Ryan Veal and Troy Veal; brother, Donny
Veal and wife Linda; sister, Debbie Veal Taylor (RHS-
1973) and husband Lloyd; granddaughters, Ariel (BB)
Veal and Delilah Veal; nieces & nephews, Jayce Moore,
Jeremy Veal, Philip Stagner, Stephanie Alvarado, and
Lynette Skaggs. He is preceded in death by his parents.
Jimmy was a joker and loved a good laugh. Friends
describe him as having a quick and rather sarcastic
wit. He always lived life to the fullest all the way
to the end. He will be missed.
