JAMES WILLIAM JOHNSTON, 59 of Ranger, TX
passed away on Aug. 15, 2020.
James was born in Brownwood TX to Corky & Irene
(Rust) Johnston on Aug. 30, 1960. James attended
school in the Class of 1980 at Ranger. He married
Shay Ford in May of 1994 at Palo Pinto Lake. He
worked many jobs & was truly a jack of all trades.
James is preceded in death by his parents, Corky
& Irene Rust Johnston. A brother Wesley Johnston
(RHS-1976) and sister Melba Johnston Wright (RHS-
1979).
James is survived by his wife, Shay Johnston; son,
Will Johnston; daughters, Whitley Hobbs (RHS-2010),
Wanda & Wynter Johnston; brother, Joey (RHS-1984) &
wife Renne Johnston; sister, Wanda Johnston Dosey
(RHS-1981); brother-in-law, Quitin Wright; step-
mother, Phyllis Johnston; grandchildren, Michael
Castorena, Emma Hobbs, Kyrstin Johnston, Camden
Johnston, Braylon Johnston, and Braxton Johnston.
He also leaves behind, best friend, Deb Cleaver
and 4-legged daughter, Ima and many more friends
that became family.
