ANITA KAY HIGHSMITH, 48, of Ranger, TX passed from
this life on Nov. 17, 2010 at her home, with burial
in Bullock Cemetery near Ranger.
Anita was born Sept. 12, 1962 in Ranger to Billy A.
Highsmith (RHS-1951) & Doris Marie Squyres (RHS-1950)
Highsmith. She attended Ranger schools including
Ranger High School in the Class of 1981 and was
a nurses aid. She was a member of Gunsight Baptist
Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Ann Marie Boone of
Ranger; foster children, Amber Dawn Walker of Big
Spring, Leslie Pickkerel of Arkansas, and Christina
Beatrice Mackey of Siloam Springs, AR; sisters,
Carolyn Sue Monroe (RHS-1973) and husband Larry,
and Patricia Ann Proffitt (RHS-1977) and husband
Joel of Ranger; special cousin, Karen Squyres Welle
of Eastland; a friend, Mitchell Clark of Ranger;
and 4 grandchildren.
