CANDICE BYRL EATON KHATIB, 51, of Frisco, TX
lost her long, courageous battle with cancer and went
to be with her Heavenly Father for eternity on Jan. 25,
2021, with interment at the Merriman Cemetery near
Ranger, TX.
Candice was born in Tampa, FL on Oct. 15, 1969, to the
delight of her parents, Ann Daniels Eaton & Albert Franklin
(Frenchy) Eaton. She was a beautiful baby that loved to
laugh and looked for the happiness in every situation,
the signature trait of her personality her entire life.
She attended grade school in Ft. Worth and Ranger and
graduated high school in College Station, TX. As a child,
Candice, “Skeeter” to her dad and “Belle” to her Mamaw
Daniels, liked outdoor play, school sports and distance
running. She loved to play and laugh at the antics of
her cousins and friends and, in turn, they loved to
hear her beautiful laugh; they knew how much she loved
them. She received her BA from Texas A&M and worked as
a business analyst/trouble shooter until her illness.
In 2009, Candice gave birth to her greatest joy, her son
Colton Ziad Khatib. She was loving and patient with her
“Coltie”. Many an issue was resolved when Colton and his
Mom had one of their talks. When illness took her strength,
she still found joy in having him near and watching him
have fun.
Candice loved the Lord. She loved to sing to the Lord,
especially with her Momma. She believed in the Lord's
healing power and even as a child, if she felt sick, she
would say “Momma pray”.
Candi loved people and always looked forward to having
fun with her friends and family. She was that special
kind of friend that truly loved you and would put your
wants above hers. One friend expressed it this way: “She
was one of the sweetest, kindest, fun souls I've ever
known.”
Candice was preceded in death by her Dad, Albert Eaton,
of Bonham, TX; her maternal grandparents, Jack (Daddo)
& Byrl (Mamaw) Daniels of Ranger, Texas; her paternal
grandparents, Ed & Velma Eaton of Lenora, KS; her uncles,
Jay Daniels of Hurst, TX, and Jackie Daniels of Eastland,
TX; her cousins, Troy Daniels of Eastland & Joshua Daniels
of Ft. Worth, TX.
She is survived by her son, Colton Khatib; her mother,
Ann Eaton; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
