JASON DANIEL OWENS, 24, of Bedford, TX died on
Oct. 25, 1997 near Wellington, with burial in Quail
Cemetery.
Born on Feb. 14, 1973 in Wichita, KS to George William
& Patricia Wilcox Owens, he graduated from Ranger High
School in Ranger, TX in 1991. He was very active in the
sports program. He went on to attend Howard Payne
University & Ranger College. He enjoyed writing poetry.
At the time of his death, he was employed by the U.S.
Department of Agriculture as a peanut grader in Memphis
and he was also co-owner of the Blue House Food Company
in Bedford.
Jason and his wife, Christy, were married in July of 1995
in Quail. He was a Baptist.
Survivors include his wife, Christy, of Bedford; a son
Colt D. Owens of Bedford; his parents, Bill & Patti Owens
of Bedford; two brothers, Justin M. Owens (RHS-1995) and
Jared Owens, both of Bedford and his grandmother, Emma
Mickley of Wichita, KS.
