Ranger Exes Memorial - RHS Class of 1992

Roy Squyres ROY JOE SQUYRES, 42, was born to Linda & Loren Squyres on Dec. 29, 1972 in Fort Stockton, TX. He passed away Dec. 12, 2015 in Amarillo, TX after a short illness, with burial in Evergreen Cemetery at Ranger, TX. Roy spent his childhood & early adulthood in Ranger, TX where he became a volunteer firefighter. He was a graduate of Ranger High School in the Class of 1992. He was always keen on serving the public. Roy was an EMT. He attended Police Academy and was a peace officer. He was an active Deputy Sheriff for Wheeler County, TX at the time of his passing. Roy loved life and telling a story or a joke. He always had a smile on his face. Roy was preceded in death by his father, Loren Squyres (RHS-1971), grandparents Lt. Col. Plumley (RHS-1930) & Faye Brown Plumley (RHS-1931), and beloved Uncle "Sonny". He is survived by his daughters; Katherine & Kimmie, loving mother, Linda, sisters; Joellen, Teresa, and Elizabeth, and brother, Christopher. We loved him deeply and thank God he came into our lives.
