Ranger Exes Memorial - RHS Class of 1994

Wade Driskill WADE BARRET DRISKILL, 36, was a native Rangerite. Born Nov. 10, 1975 to Bobby Lee Driskill & Donna (Ainsworth) Driskill-Thackerson (RHS-1969). Wade attended Ranger ISD in the Class of 1994. Completing his GED, he also attended a couple of tech schools. Wade turned to the electrical field and was a master electrician. He was employed with EBBA Iron. Wade was also the owner of Studio 254 Hair Salon & Tanning in Ranger. He passed away on Aug. 2, 2012 at Weatherford, TX, with interment in Evergreen Cemetery at Ranger, TX. Wade was a member of Eastside Baptist Church and the Ranger Chamber of Commerce. He was a very giving person and was involved in supporting youth organization and high school students. Anyone who was associated with Wade knew he was a perfectionist and was always striving on improvement and that he could be counted on in a time of need. Wade was known as a prankster and when he wasn't pulling one he was planning for his next victim. Wade had the natural ability to make people laugh and feel good about themselves. Wade utilized each day and got the most out of every day of his life. Wade was preceded in death by his father, Bobby Lee Driskill, grandparents, Jess and Edna Driskill, Calvin & Jean Ainsworth, and a brother Jesse Driskill-Collins. Survivors at the time of his death include his mother, Donna Driskill-Thackerson and step-father, Roy Thackerson of Ranger, a brother, Brandon Driskill (RHS-1989) and wife Tracy of Buffalo, two sisters, Lee Ann Terry of Centerville, and Teresa Breedlove of Houston, two neices, Kylyn Graves and husband Josh of Stephenville, and Kynlee Driskill of Buffalo, a great-nephew, Jaxon Graves of Stephenville, Ronnie Ainsworth, uncle, and wife Sherri of Ranger, Delinda Snider, aunt, and husband Larry of Gorman, cousins, Ronnie Calvin and Sonny Ainsworth and Jacob and Douglas McCullough, and a very special lady in his life, Misty Sharp of Eastland. FATHER: BOBBY LEE DRISKILL, 59, of Abilene, TX died on Feb. 13, 1999, at an Abilene hospital, with burial in Evergreen Cemetery at Ranger, TX. Mr. Driskill was born in May, TX, on Dec. 19, 1939, and lived in Brown, Comanche, Erath and Nolan counties. He graduated from Highland High School and worked for Dow Chemical in McCamey. He moved to Ranger in 1963 and worked for CJB Cattle Co. and as ranch foreman for Hagaman Ranch. He worked for Slumber J and sold cars in Big Spring and Abilene in the late 1960s and early `70s. He also worked for T&P Railroad and Missouri and Pacific Railroad. He farmed and ranched in the Ranger area and opened Bob's K&M Service Station and Tire Service and Ranger Hill Pit Stop and Restaurant, which he operated until retiring in 1993. He moved to San Angelo in 1993 and to Abilene in 1998. He was a Baptist. He married Roxie Kidd in 1959. He married Donna Ainsworth (RHS-1969) in 1970. He had two daughters; Lee Ann Terry and Teresa Carol Breedlove, both of Kingwood; two sons, Brandon Lee Driskill (RHS-1989) of Stephenville and Wade Barret Driskill (RHS-1994) of El Paso; two brothers, Jolly Driskill of Tuscola and Modie Driskill of Eden; four sisters, June Stanford of San Angelo, Jeannie Driskill of Lewisville, Wanda Fullwood of Lubbock and Mary Lou Sponable of Brazoria; and nine grandchildren.
