LINDSAY ANN BRASHIER was killed in an automobile
accident in Austin, TX on Nov. 10, 1996 while a
Freshman at the University of Texas (two weeks to
the day before her grandfather was killed). Burial
was in Emmanuel Memorial Park in Houston. A memorial
is also placed at the Brashier family plot in Evergreen
Cemetery in Ranger.
She was born on Dec. 19, 1977 & raised in Ranger, TX.
Lindsay attended Ranger schools through 7th grade. She
attended Midway schools in Waco for two years, then
graduated with honors from Westbury High School at
Houston in 1976. She was president of the National
Honor Society & received a Houston Livestock & Rodeo
Scholarship. She was named Volunteer of the Year for
the Houston Crisis Hotline.
At the time of her death, she was survived by her parents,
Tommy & Sally Brashier of Waco, Marilyn Datz of Houston,
grandparents, Pete Brashier (RHS-1938) & Betty Brashier
of Ranger, Marvin & Ruth Datz of Houston, Lou & Vi Mink
of California.
Brothers, Charlie Jones and Andy Brashier of Waco, and
sister, Rachel Brashier of Waco, also uncle, Alex Brashier
(RHS-1965) of Palm Springs, CA.
