ERIC STEPHEN BRIGGS, 42 of Gainesville, TX
went to be with our Lord and Savior on Jan. 14, 2024.
Eric was born Sept. 24, 1981 in Houston, TX to Robert
Emery Briggs, Jr. and Sherry Lynn Briggs. He married
Marca Jo Briggs in Nov. of 2008 in Grand Prairie, TX.
Eric grew up in Ranger, TX where he attended elementary,
junior high and high school. He graduated from Ranger
High School in the Class of 2000. He played baseball
and football all of his years in school. As an adult,
he spent the majority of his career as a Supervisor
at Wabash Corporation , formerly Supreme Corp. in
Cleburne, TX for 15 years. After he, his wife and
daughter moved to Gainesville, TX, he worked for
Sam's Club in Denton, TX.
Eric was a beloved Husband, Father, Son, Brother,
Uncle, and Friend to many. He brought joy & laughter
to everyone who knew him. Eric adored and cherished
his family, found the goodness in everyone, and lived
life to the fullest. He leaves behind a legacy of
his unconditional love.
Survivors are his wife, Marca Fenley Briggs of
Gainesville, TX; daughters, Leah Briggs of Gaines-
ville, Megan Montgomery of Dallas, TX, Kenzee
Nickerson of Mansfield, TX, Spencer Fenley of
Omaha, NE, Summer Briggs of Iredale, TX; son,
Silas Briggs of Iredale; mother, Sherry Briggs;
brother, Michael Dunn (decd); and sister-in-law,
Edith Dunn of Eastland, TX and Brandy Montgomery
of Stephenville, TX.
He is preceded in death by his father, Robert
Emery Briggs, Jr and his brother Michael Keith
