Ranger Exes Memorial-TX - RHS Class of 1958 Reunion in 2004-Pg.1 of 4

Registration started at 9:30 A.M. at the old gym on Friday morning. Several of our folks showed up there. Glenda Huffman Erzen was at homecoming this year. She was at the gym and the football game, but didn't get to be at the dinner. Her children honored her with a birthday party the night of the dinner. Sorry she couldn't be with us. Hal and Mary Pugh Walton brought their pickup and trailer for us to use as the class float in the parade. We met at Willow Park to decorate the trailer at 4:00 and the parade started at 5:00. Charles (Toad) Tibbels furnished the hay for our float and we want to thank him for that. The parade was LOTS OF FUN!!!!! We do have one problem!!!! We are so generous that the candy didn't last until we got down town. We managed to run out about the City Hall. Everyone agreed that we need to each bring a bag of candy so we will have enough to make it down the street. Might work, might not!! We had the training room at the fire station from 10:30 A.M. until after our dinner Saturday evening. We met to decorate the room Saturday morning. A few folks ate at the fire station for lunch, but most went to the meal served at the Methodist Church, then came to the fire station to visit. A business meeting was held at the school at 2:00 Saturday and pictures were made at 2:30 (well more like 3:00 or so!!). We had 21 there for the group picture. (See group shot included with the reunion pictures.) For those of you who haven't been here for a while, have fun with the identification!!!!! Our theme for the dinner this year was "western". The outfits that some wore were great. Check them out for yourselves in the pictures to follow. Dale did a great job as our MC. None of us were surprised at that. We appreciate him very much even if the local Sheriff had some comments about his conduct!! (That is a joke folks!) Judy made us a cake (chocolate on chocolate as requested) again this year, and as you can imagine, it was delicious. Judy and Glenda did the decorations and they were very "western". Thanks you two!! A lot of thought and preparation go into our reunions and we appreciate all the hard work from everyone involved. Jimmie May & Maxine did a fantastic job with the entertainment. For the last part Judy and Gail joined Jimmie May and Maxine for a group "sing-a-long". Can't describe this - you had to be there!!!! Jimmie Caraway and his wife, Judy, were at the dinner. Jimmie caught us up on what has been happening in his life since he transferred from Ranger to Breckenridge. Also, Charlotte had her husband, Harold, with her at the dinner. So glad to meet him. We had two guests this year - Margaret White & Audry Rose. Two great ladies!! One thing lacking this year was a group picture at the dinner. Very sorry we didn't get one. Gonna have to make a "to do" list for next time. Don't know what I would do without Post-a-Notes!!! I go through them like you wouldn't believe. 58home04_01 Gail Rapp Hagar & Barbara Bray Mitchell at the gym at Friday registration
