GLADYS R. HUNTER, 81, died in 1983 at Harlingen,
TX, with burial in Greenwood Memorial Park.
Mrs. Hunter, a native of Cohutta, GA, retired from
the Fort Worth school district in May of 1967 after
having taught English at Rosemont Jr. High School
and Arlington Heights High School from 1959 through
1967. Before moving to Fort Worth, she was associated
with Ranger Jr. College at Ranger, TX as head of the
English and speech departments from 1932-1945. From
1945 through 1952 she served as guidance director at
the college. She then joined the English department
at the Ranger High School until 1956. She had a son
Capt. H. Reid Hunter (RHS-1942) of Harlingen, a
brother Mack Reed of Westerly, RI, two grandsons, &
a granddaughter.
