Ethelyn Lancaster ETHELYN WARDINE WALLACE LANCASTER, 83, of Breckenridge, TX went to be with her Lord pn July 30, 2017, with burial in the Eastland Cemetery at Eastland, TX. Ethelyn was born March 9, 1934 in Springer, NM to parents William Bowie Wallace & Ollie Beulah Poole Wallace. She attended and graduated high school in Tyler, TX. After high school, Ethelyn went on to attend Arlington State for two years and then graduated from the University of North Texas with her Bachelor's in Education. She worked as a teacher for several school districts, including Hurst, Ranger (1970s & 80s) and Colorado City, for 25 years before retiring in 1991. In June of 1958, she married Ben David Lancaster in Arlington. Ethelyn was a member of First Baptist Church and was active in Community Bible Study, the Gideons International Auxiliary, and the Corner Stone Sunday School class. Ethelyn was also a member of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas, Delta Kappa Gamma, and the Pink Ladies at Stephens Memorial Hospital. She was preceded in death by her parents, William & Beulah Wallace; and her brother, William Bowie Wallace, Jr. Mrs. Lancaster is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Ben David Lancaster of Breckenridge; two daughters, Kelli Jean Lancaster (RHS-1978) of Colorado City, Patricia K. Lancaster Hatton (RHS-1979) and husband Dickie of Eastland; three grandchildren, David Thomas Hatton and wife Lauren, Luke Andrew Hatton, Matthew Jacob Hatton and wife Abbey; three great-grandchildren, Shelby Hatton, James Hatton, Benjamin Hatton; one sister-in-law, Mollie Foley of Marshall; one brother-in-law, Robert Lancaster of Marshall.
