Ranger Exes Memorial - RISD (Faculty)

Bonnie Fox Stewart BONNIE (LUCY) LOUISE FOX STEWART, 70, of Ranger, TX passed away on Dec. 14, 2019 in Eastland, TX. Bonnie was born on Nov. 2, 1940 in Gorman, TX to H.C. (Blackie) & Bonnie Fay Fox. Lucy taught in Ranger Elementary school for over 34 years and was beloved by staff and students throughout her years there. Before that she worked at Vassarette sewing factory where she made many lifelong friends. She also served as the secretary for Ranger Junior Rodeo Association. Lucy was also a beloved Sunday school teacher throughout her adult life. Lucy has been said by many to have the kindest, most loving heart, who would do anything to help others out. Her entire life she showed her love as a servant to the Lord and others by making sure her family and friends were well taken care of. She was the pillar of the Stewart family and her Sunday dinners brought the family together week after week. Many may not know that she was just as tough as she was kind. She won a saddle for all around Cowgirl and could ride bulls & broncs with best of them and caused belly aches with tales of all the pranks she would pull on her husband Jimmy. She is enormously loved by her family and friends and is a testament to one of her favorite sayings "Live in such a way that those who know you, but don't know God, will come to know God because they know you." She was preceded in death by her parents, Blackie and Bonnie, and her sister Betty Jean Tuttle. She is survived by her husband, Jimmy Stewart (RHS-1958), brothers Clifford (Bud) Fox, Kenneth Fox, Billy Fox, Danny Ray Fox, sister JoAnn Johnson, her daughter Jenny Stewart (RHS-1977) and son John Stewart (RHS-1979) with his wife Debra. Grandchildren Ashley Caldera and her husband Keith, Jimbo Stewart and his wife Angie, Buffy Magby and her husband Eric, Josh Stewart with his wife Christina, and Kori Gilder. She had 8 great-grand children including Brody Magby, Lyric Martin, Carley Stewart, Hunter Anthony, Lucy Anthony, James Stewart, Lily Stewart, and Kenny Cozart. BROTHER: BILLY DWAINE FOX, 70, of Sugar Land, TX passed away March 14, 2023 surrounded by his family in Houston, TX, with burial in Merriman Cemetery near Ranger. Billy was born Oct. 2, 1952, in Ranger, TX to Bonnie Fay Highsmith Fox and Henry Clifford "Blackie" Fox. He went to school in Olden High School. Billy is survived by spouse, Nat Oliva Jr.; brothers, Kenneth, Clifford, and Danny Ray Fox; sister, JoAnn Johnson; and numerous cousins, nieces, & nephews. He is proceeded in death by his parents Bonnie and Blackie Fox and sisters Bonnie Louise Stewart and Betty Jean Tuttle.
