JOHN SAMUEL WILHELM, 60, of Austin, TX a former
resident of Ranger, TX died May 22, 1974 in Austin
following a lengthy illness, with interment in
Elmwood Memorial Park at Abilene, TX.
Wilhelm was born Sept. 4, 1913 in Commerce and married
the former Mildred Cornelius. He was a teacher in Ranger
Public Schools prior to moving to Austin in 1964 where he
taught math at Johnston High School. He was a member of
the Methodist Church and a veteran of World War II. He
had two sons; Richard Wilhelm (RHS-1961) of Ranger and
Larry Wilhelm (RHS-1965) of Austin, one daughter Kay
Wilhelm (RHS-1968) of Austin, & two brothers Bill Wilhelm
of Kerrville & Cap Wilhelm.
