MARY FRANCES HOWDESHELL JAMESON, 68,
died May 30, 1960 in Eastland County, TX and was
buried at Restland Cemetery in Dallas.
She was born on Oct. 7, 1891 in Redwater, TX, to
Albert & Lillie Howdeshell. She married Roy A.
Jameson and they had two sons Roy and David
Jameson. Mary Frances was director of the girls'
dorm at Ranger Jr. College during the 50s. She
was known to all students and ex-students as
"Mrs. J." In 1961, the girls' dorm at RJC was
named Mary Frances Jameson Dormitory. Mrs. J.
was basketball sweetheart in 1959. Her sister
was Helen Hagaman (a teacher at RHS). She had
a younger sister, Edna Louise Howdeshell Fuel,
who lived in Arkansas and died in 1973.
