Texas has many historic churches with some dating back to the 1800s.

DALLAS
Grace United Methodist Church was
built in 1903 and located in East
Dallas on Junius.
DALLAS
Emanuel Lutheran Church is located
in East Dallas on San Jacinto. It
is one of only four churches in
Dallas County listed in the National
Register of Historic Places.
DALLAS
The Catholic Cathedral Santuario de Guadallupe Church is located
on Ross Ave. in downtown Dallas. It was dedicated in 1902.
DENISON
The St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Denison is located
near downtown Denison. It was built in 1898 but destroyed
by fire in 1911 and rebuilt.
FORT STOCKTON
St. Joseph's Catholic Church is
located near historic downtown
Fort Stockton. Built in 1875
and remodeled in 1960.
FREDERICKSBURG
St. Mary's Catholic Church is located
in downtown Fredericksburg. It was
completed during the Civil War and
served until a larger building was
constructed in 1906.
GREENVILLE
Central Christian Church is located in
downtown Greenville. The Gothic Revival
church was built in 1899.
LAMPASAS
St. Mary's Episcopal Church built in 1884
is located in Lampasas. It was modeled
after a Gothic church in Rugby, England
and is the oldest church in the area still
in use.
LINDSAY
St. Peter's Church was completed in 1918,
after the original church was destroyed by
a cyclone. The church has many beautifully
stylized paintings, stained glass windows,
and hand painted statues. It is located in
the small town of Lindsay, a few miles west
of Gainesville.
PARIS
The First United Methodist Church is
located near downtown Paris on Lamar Ave. It
was built in 1924.
WACO
St. Francis Catholic Church is located in
downtown Waco. It was built in 1931 as a
reproduction of the Mission San Jose in
San Antonio.
WAXAHACHIE
Central Presbyterian Church is located near
downtown Waxahachie.
