JOY A. WOMBLE SMITH, 83, died Feb. 23, 2004
at Abilene, TX, with interment at I.O.O.F. Cemetery
in Farmersville, TX.
She was born Aug. 2, 1920 in Farmersville, TX to
Harry L. & Nettie Mavsar Womble. She married John
L. Smith in Sept. of 1938. She was a homemaker
and a member of Church of Christ.
Survivors at the time of her death include daughters,
Janice Townzen (RHS-1964) and husband Terry of
Arlington, Joanne Smith Hathcock (RHS-1959) and
husband Pete of Ranger; sons, Tommy Smith (RHS-1961)
and wife Bonnie of Farmersville, John L. Smith, Jr.
(RHS-1957) and wife Lena of North Richland Hills;
seven grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
