ALTON WAYNE KLAUS, 64, of Ranger, TX died
June 26, 2005 at his residence, with burial in
Merriman Cemetery near Ranger, TX.
Mr. Klaus was born on Aug. 31, 1940 in Runnels
County to Gus & Linda June Klaus. He married
April Lowe in Ranger in July of 1975. Mr. Klaus
was in the National Guard for 8 years. He worked
for Bob Carroll in Ranger for 25 years and later
for Orval Hall Excavating in Fort Worth.
At the time of his death, he was survived by his
wife, April Klaus of Ranger; mother, Linda Klaus
of Miles; children, Alton Wayne Klaus Jr. (RHS-1997)
of Springtown, Amanda Doty (RHS-1998) of Brownwood,
Ima Jean Klaus of Ranger, Deborah Deanna Klaus (RHS-
2001) of Ranger, Audra McDonald of Brownwood, and
Lyra Klaus of Brownwood; brother, Gus Klaus Jr. of
Midkiff; sisters, Arlene Haechten of San Angelo,
Linda Lee Selby of Irving, & Elaine Hite of Miles,
8 grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
