ORA ANICE LOCKE, known to most as Anice or 'Miss Locke'
was a longtime Ranger, TX resident & nurse. As well, she
was a gifted pianist and played at her church and for many
area social functions. She died on November 28, 1993, in
Ranger. In the photograph she was with two other long-time
Ranger nurses. Pictured left to right are Lottie Davenport,
Elizabeth Stroud (RHS-1930) and Miss Anice Locke. If you
were born in Ranger in the era of the 30's, 40's, 50's,
there is a good chance you were delivered by one of these
nurses.
