MARGARET ELEANOR ALWORTH CRAIG, 84, died on
Nov. 9, 1989 in Tyler, TX, with burial in Rose
Hill Cemetery at Tyler.
She was born Sept 1, 1905 in Warren, IN to Charles
W. & Catherine Huugh Alworth and lived in Tyler
23 years. Eleanor attended Ranger High School in
the Class of 1923 at Ranger, TX and married her
classmate, William Craig (RHS-1923), who died in
1986. Eleanor graduated from the University of
Oklahoma & a member of the American Association
of University Women. She was a member of Marvin
United Methodist Church.
Survivors include one son, William D. Craig, Jr.
of Arlington, VA; a brother, Richard Alworth (RHS-
1928) of Hobbs, NM; three grandchildren, Julia
Muller of Worchester, MA, David Craig of Alexandria,
VA, and Robert Craig of Frankfort, Germany; and
two great-grandson. Her other siblings were Rheba
Alworth, Bernard Alworth, Thomas Alworth (RHS-1923),
Cecil Alworth (RHS-1923), Clyde Alworth (RHS-1926),
and Rexford Alworth (RHS-1927).
