Ranger Exes Memorial - RHS Class of 1924 RJC, The Faculty

Cottie Lemley Woods COTTIE CEVELLIA LEMLEY WOODS, 84, died in Jan. of 1987, with interment at Cross Roads Cemetery near Ranger, TX. She was born on May 29, 1902 near Ranger and graduated from Ranger Jr. College & Abilene Christian University. She was a teacher at Oak Ridge, Girard, Alexander, Meadow, RHS & Young School in Ranger. She taught school for 12 years in Gordon before her retirement in 1971. She was a member of the Mesquite & Rusk Street Church of Christ and the Texas State Teachers' Association. She also belonged to Bullock Quilting Club. Survivors at the time of her death included her husband, David Bailey Woods of Ranger; three sons, Bailey L. Woods (RHS-1945) of San Angelo, Tim D. Woods (RHS-1951) of Arlington and Floyd A. Woods (RHS-1954) of Odessa; two daughters, Gwen Woods Bonner (RHS-1948) of Hico & Cevellia Carolyn Woods Roberts (RHS-1954) of Weatherford; and two sisters, Aletha Lemley Weatherred and Mavarine Lemley Bryson (RHS-1924), both of Ranger.
