Ranger Exes Memorial - RHS Class of 1932

HAZEL FAIRCLOTH BEIGHLEY, 92, passed away on April 10, 2008 in Ranger, TX, with burial in Merriman Cemetery near Ranger. Hazel was born Sept. 20, 1915 to Nathaniel and Allie (Sneed) Faircloth in Ranger, TX. She spent her childhood there and lived off and on the oil field in tents with her family. She went to Fort Worth for nursing school right after she graduated high school. She joined the army and from 1942 to 1945 she was a nurse and while in service she met & married her husband George E. Beighley in 1943. After the Army she and George returned to Ranger and raised their family. She worked at the Ranger Hospital for many years & retired in 1979 to help take care of her grandchildren. Hazel absolutely loved to read & enjoyed crocheting and working in the yard. She and George liked to travel some and made trips to Colorado. She will be remembered as a kind, wonderful and Christian woman who was extremely strong and independent. She is loved and will be dearly missed. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband George E. Beighley; her son George A. Beighley (RHS- 1970); a brother Buddy Faircloth (RHS-1927); & a sister Billie Redd (RHS-1929). She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Brenda Beighley, grandchildren, Chad (RHS-1997) and wife Amanda and Carol Beighley (RHS-2000), great-grandchildren, Kylie and Sean Beighley, special nieces, Jeanene Collier and Martha Mitchell and several other nieces and nephews.
