GEORGE ALLEN BEIGHLEY, 54, of Ranger, TX died on
Sept. 9, 2006 in Eastland, with burial in Merriman
Cemetery near Ranger, TX.
George was born Oct. 4, 1951 in Fort Worth to George
E. Beighley & Hazel (Faircloth) Beighley. He was a
Class of 1970 Ranger High School graduate, and earned
an Associate of Applied Science Degree from Ranger
College. George married Brenda Gasch in July of 1974
in Poteet, TX. He and his father operated Beighley
Gulf Service Station from 1965 until 1988 in Ranger.
He had been employed by Ranger College as Director of
Maintenance for 22 years. He was involved in sports,
coaching Little League, Pony league then cooking
hamburgers for the booster club. He was a 17 year
member of the Ranger Volunteer Fire Department and
was instrumental in building the current Fire Station.
He was a member of the Second Baptist Church in Ranger
and enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, wood carving
and keeping up with all sports.
At the time of his death, he was survived by his wife
Brenda of Ranger, son and daughter-in-law, Chad (RHS-
1997) and Amanda Beighley of Cleveland, TX; a daughter
Carol Ann Beighley (RHS-2000) of Ranger; his mother
Hazel Beighley (RHS-1932) of Ranger; & a granddaughter,
Kylie Beighley of Ranger. He was preceded in death by
his father George E. Beighley in 1983.
