ROBERT EDMOND KIDWELL, 84, was born March 22, 1916,
at Chetopa, KS, & was in the Ranger High School Class
of 1933 at Ranger, TX. His parents are buried at
Merriman Cemetery. Robert died Aug. 16, 2000, while
living at Moore, OK. He was married to Kathryn Mourine
Griffith of Eram, OK. She was died while living at
Moore, OK, in 1993.
Robert had five siblings, a sister, Juanita, twins, a
brother and sister, Lawrence E. Kidwell (RHS-1939) &
Florence Kidwell Baker (RHS-1939) and brothers, Harry
and James.
Robert & Kathryn had one son, Robert L. Kidwell, who
lives in Moore, OK. Robert Edmond Kidwell served in
the Army Air Corps during WWII and was in England in a
P-51 Mustang squadron. After the war he worked for
Safeway and then re-entered the military service (U.S.
Air Force via the Air National Guard). He served in
Japan, Korea and Panama. After a heart attack, he
retired in 1968, and worked as a meat-cutter for
about ten years before full retirement.
