CALVIN EARL BROWN, 78, owner & operator of Ranger
Lumber Co. for 26 years died in 1995, with burial
in Pioneer Cemetery at Ranger, TX.
He was the son of Minnie Lee (Walsh) and Calvin Brown
of Ranger. Mr. Brown was born in Newlin & graduated
from Ranger High School. He attended Ranger Junior
College and was crew chief for the U.S. Army during
World War II. He was member of Ranger Masonic Lodge,
Shriners & First United Methodist Church. He was the
widower of Orville Lucille Woods Brown (RHS-1936),
whom he married in 1938 in Palo Pinto. They had a
daughter, Una Elizabeth Brown Richey (RHS-1959). His
siblings were Raymond Edward Brown, William Henderson
Brown (RHS-1928), Faye Irene Brown Plumley (RHS-1931),
and May Jo Brown Ambrose (RHS-1934).
