ELMER MELVIN "E.M." BOWEN, 65, of San Antonio, TX,
died on May 13, 1976. Burial was at Mission Burial
Park South in San Antonio. He was born Feb. 1, 1911
to Allen & Delie Hughes Bowen. E.M. attended Ranger
High School in the Class 1933/1936 at Ranger, TX &
married Emma Ruth Lofton. He served in the U.S. Army
during WWII and married Antoinett. When his sister,
Amazar Bowen (RHS-1934), died in 1987, he was survived
by one brother, Z.Z. Bowen of Denver City; three sisters,
all of San Antonio, Christine Bowen Ponder (RHS-1933),
Zelma Bowen Townsend, & Thelma Bowen McLamore (RHS-1946).
