Ranger Exes Memorial - RHS Class of 1937

Mary Ready Hodges MARY FRANCIS READY HODGES, 94, a longtime resident of El Dorado, AR, went to be with her Lord & Savior and joined her family and friends March 1, 2013, with burial in Lisbon UM Cemetery at Lisbor LA. She was born on Oct. 30, 1918 in Clyde, TX to Patrick & Agnes Prew Ready. Mary attended Ranger High School in the Class of 1937 at Ranger, TX. She met Lee Stewart "Jack" Hodge, whom she married in Carlsbad, NM and remained married to for 51 years until his death. She was a member of the American Legion Ladies Axillary and was the president of Post 10. She & her husband were honored to be asked to join the elite American Legion 40 & 8 where she also became State President. She was a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, and worked as an accountant clerk at Warner Brown Sisters of Mercy Hospital. She also worked for Dr. Duzan and at Smackover Drilling in accounting for a short time. She loved her rose gardens and admiring red birds. She is survived by a son, Lee J. Hodge, and his wife, Angela. Siblings of Mary Francis were Lucy Ready Maillie (RHS-1938), Michael Ready (RHS-1941), and Jerome Ready (RHS-1942).
