JEROME LEO READY, 75, died on July 5, 2000,
with interment in the Clyde Catholic Cemetery.
Mr. Ready was born in Mingus, TX. He attended St.
Rita Catholic School and graduated from Ranger
High School in Ranger, TX. He served during WWII
in the U.S. Navy and married Christene Wallace
(RHS-1946) in 1964. He worked for T&P Railroad
as an operator, dispatching crews for 34 years.
He was a member of St. Rita Catholic Church and
a member of Knights of Columbus.
Survivors at the time of his death include his
wife, Christene, of Ranger; three children, Gerald
Lee, Cecilia Ready, both of Granbury, Leta Guest
of Ft. Worth; one brother, Michael Ready (RHS-1941)
of Midland; two sisters, Lucy Ready Maillie (RHS-
1938) of Ranger, Mary Francis Ready Hodge (RHS-1937)
of El Dorado, AR; several nieces & nephews.
