KENNETH E. PRUETT, 78, of Abilene, TX died June 30,
1999, with burial in Elmwood Memorial Park.
Mr. Pruett was born in Staff, Eastland County, TX
& attended Ranger High School in the Class of 1939
at Ranger, TX. He moved to Abilene from Sweetwater
in 1942 and married Fay Nell "Suzie" Jackson in
Feb. of 1942. Kenneth was a railroad clerk with
the Union Pacific Railroad, retiring after 49 years.
He was a member of the Texas Railroad Clerks Union
and a Baptist.
Survivors include his wife of Abilene; one son,
Kendall Pruett of Abilene; two daughters, Myra
Mann of Merkel and Linda Habenicht of Waco; one
brother, Elzie Pruett Jr. (RHS-1947) of Ranger;
two sisters, Ima Mae Pruett Johnston (RHS-1937) of
Ranger, and Dollie Pruett of Stamford; four grand-
children; & three great-grandchildren.
