Ranger Exes Memorial - RHS Class of 1940

Lola Spindle Forbes LOLA LEE SPINDLE FOX FORBES, 93, of Andrews, TX passed away July 1, 2015 in Seminole, TX, with burial at Andrews North Cemetery. Lola was born Nov. 12, 1921 in Ranger, TX. She graduated from Ranger High School on May 25, 1940. During World War II, she worked for Western Union. In 1945, after the war, she married Jamie Leonard Fox from Eastland and then moved to Coleman, TX where she worked for Coleman Life Insurance Co., who eventually was bought out by Halliburton. She moved to Andrews in 1952 & worked for Andrews Insurance Agency for 17 years. After she retired, she opened her Studio "The Charisma", the fine art of painting in Oils. She ran that business for 22 years. After Mr. Fox passed away in 1958, she met & married L.B. "Bill" Forbes of Rising Star, TX who passed away in 1998 in Andrews. Lola loved making arts and crafts & decorating, crochet and sewing. She was a member of the Andrews Senior Center. Her greatest love was being an Intercessor, she was associated with the Lydia Foundation of International Intercessors, Intercessors with the Seven Hundred Club and the Intercessors of North America. She was a member of the Church of God in Andrews. Lola is survived by many nieces and nephews and their descendants. Her siblings were Marlin Spindle (RHS-1932), Thomas Spindle (RHS-1926), Bonnie Spindle Keener (RHS-1930), & Jettie Spindle Morgan.
