Ranger Exes Memorial - RHS Class of 1940

Juanita Morse JUANITA MAXINE "MAC" FONDREN MORSE, 88, passed away peacefully on June 9, 2010, surrounded by friends & family, with burial in East Greenwood Cemetery at Weatherford, TX She was born Feb 18, 1922, in Weatherford. She was the second oldest child of Walter and Jewel Fondren. Maxine taught first grade for over 30 years. She loved the sense of accomplishment her students felt when they had mastered reading her Dr. Seuss books to the class. She was a longtime member of Ridglea Christian Church of Fort Worth and joined First Christian Church of Grand Prairie when she moved to Grand Prairie in the early 1990s to be closer to her family. Maxine loved to spend time with her family, travel, play bingo, care for her little dogs and complete crafts. More than anything, Maxine was a wonderful loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend with a great sense of humor, & will be sadly missed. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Debbie Birdsey; sisters, Hazel Fondren Cavall (RHS-1939) & Peggy Herrington; and two brothers, Lloyd Fondren (RHS-1945). Survivors include daughter, Terry Debbendener & husband,Calvin, of Grand Prairie; her son-in-law, Rich Birdsey of Downingtown, Pa.; grandchildren, Renee Fines Quigley, Jamie Fines Reid, Eric Birdsey and Jason Birdsey; great-grandchildren, Ty, Zach, Audrey, Cole and Emily; brother, Russell Fondren; and many nieces and nephews.
